Winter On the Naugy

While our next scheduled train rides are not until the Easter Bunny Express on Saturday, April 23, 2011, the members and volunteers of the Railroad Museum of New England are busy with maintenance and restoration work in our Volunteer Shop in Thomaston, with ongoing improvements and repairs at Thomaston Station and in planning all the special events for the 2011 operating season. Please look for our booth at the Amherst Railway Society Railroad Hobby Show at the Eastern States Exposition Fairgrounds in West Springfield, MA on Saturday and Sunday, January 29 & 30.

Meanwhile, enjoy a photo of a recent outing with the 1936 Maine Central snow plow and Naugatuck Railroad’s Engine 2203 to clear the rail line from Waterbury to Torrington of the two feet of snow that fell along our line on 1/12/2011.
