New for 2026, the Railroad Museum of New England and Naugatuck Railroad are
proud to announce the Litchfield County Clipper! Round-trip scenic service boarding
in Thomaston and multiple points in Torrington!
Each ticket is a full-day pass, valid for same-day boarding at any stop at any departure
time!
Passengers can initially board and disembark from the following locations:
-Thomaston Station, Thomaston
-Market Street Creative, Torrington
-Water Street, Torrington
Enjoy a scenic train ride through the Litchfield hills, abutting the Naugatuck River, and across Thomaston Dam to explore, dine, and shop at Market Street Creative, as well as experience Torrington’s Main Street and downtown offerings.
For the first time, passengers can depart for a round-trip scenic train ride from Torrington’s
NEW Water Street platform or Market Street Creative’s NEW platform for a scenic
experience previously reserved for Thomaston departures!
With plenty of time to explore the Railroad Museum of New England and Main Street,
Thomaston, passengers from Torrington will find plenty to see and do.
Market Street Creatives is joining in on the fun, too! Passengers can detrain at Market Street Creatives in either direction to explore the artisans and cafe of Torrington’s newest cultural hub.
Expanded for the Litchfield County Clipper Service is our same-day ticket discount for many
businesses near station stops! Returning Torrington favorites such as Nutmeg Fudge Co, Bad
Dog Brewing, and more are joined in Thomaston by Crabby Al’s, Rozzies, with more to come!
A full dining and attractions guide will be distributed on board.

Duration: It’s up to you! The Litchfield County Clipper can be experienced in several different
ways. The trip from Water Street to Thomaston Station takes approximately 55 minutes with
expected stops.

● This Event is NOT Handicap Accessible
● Only the train ride is included in the ticket price
● Passengers are responsible for making their own dining reservations
● Tickets are required to board and re-board the train
● Strollers CAN be checked into baggage for this train at all station
stops. Strollers will be stored separately from riding passengers due
to safety and convenience concerns.
● The Railroad Museum of New England and Naugatuck Railroad are
not responsible for passengers who miss the final return train.
