The Northern Lights Limited is our evening train, departing Thomaston Station for Santa's Workshop. Leaving under the cover of nightfall, experience the magic as the lights on each car illuminate the entire train in a soft, cheerful glow.
Upon departure, you will be taken directly to the Santa's Workshop, picking up Santa and Mrs. Claus. Once on board the train, Santa and Mrs. Claus will take turns visiting with all those on board as the train glides through the night. While Santa is visiting each of the good boys and girls on the train, his team of elves and reindeer will entertain you. Each child will get an extra special gift from Santa's toy bag!
This service is scheduled at 5:00 P.M. and 7:15 P.M.
All passengers ride the Northern Lights Limited will experience:
Train is lighted and seasonally decorated inside and out
Visit to Santa’s workshop to pick up Santa and Mrs. Claus
Visit by Santa with hand delivered gifts
Sing along to Christmas Carols
Letters to Santa Station
All children will receive:

A cookie from Santa’s kitchen

These trains frequently sell out. Please purchase tickets early online at the link above.
All Tickets must be picked up at the Thomaston Station Will Call window on the day of the event. Tickets are printed with your name and car assignment. You must possess this paper ticket to board the train.
All tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable unless a ticket protection plan is purchased.

Thomaston, CT, 06787Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to departure. Weekend traffic can be heavy, so allow extra travel time. Trains depart promptly at the scheduled time. No refunds will be issued for missed trains.
Hot Chocolate and cookies are available for purchase from the Nutmeg Fudge Company at the station!
Lap Riders: Children under 2 ride free but must sit on an adult’s lap. For safety reasons, car seats and strollers are not permitted onboard.
There is no seat saving. Coach passengers wishing to sit together must board together.
Trains are canceled only if the State of Connecticut officially closes roads due to weather conditions. In that event, refunds or rescheduling options will be offered.
No outside alcohol is permitted onboard.
