Torrington Express

For the first time ever, take the train to Torrington in our new all new Hi LEVEL train cars! Hop aboard and enjoy a scenic train ride to Torrington on our Torrington Express! This excursion will take you up the Naugatuck River Valley, over the famed Thomaston Dam, and through the woods to Torrington! Passengers on these trains will not only get to enjoy a trip on the northern part of our line but will also have a chance to depart the train at both Market Street Creatives and the new platform on Water Street in Torrington to grab lunch, walk around, and shop at both venues!   Shuttle trains will run between the two so you can enjoy downtown Torrington and the artisanal offerings at Market Street Creatives.

ITINERARY:

• 10:00 AM: Depart Thomaston Station

• 10:30 AM: Arrive at Market Street Creatives

• 10:45 AM: Arrive at the NEW Torrington Water St platform

• 11:30 AM: shuttle train between Torrington and Market Street Creatives

• 12:30 PM: shuttle train between Torrington and Market Street Creatives

• 1:30 PM: Depart Torrington Water Street Platform for Thomaston

• 1:40 PM: Depart Market Street Creatives for Thomaston

• 2:15 PM: Arrive at Thomaston Station

Note: The Torrington Water Street platform is .2 miles and a 5 minute walk from Main St. Strollers can be checked in the baggage car on this excursion.

Please Note: This excursion is not handicapped accessible. Only the train ride is included in this excursion. Provided above are some restaurants and attractions in the Torrington main street area. It is the responsibility of the passengers to make their own dining and other reservations if needed. Passengers are responsible for returning to the Torrington Water St. platform to board the train no later than 1:15 pm. Passengers are required to show their ticket to re-board the train. Neither the Railroad Museum of New England nor the Naugatuck Railroad are responsible for passengers who miss the return train ride.
